Review of The Club House and OTO CBD in West Bexington

CBD non-alcoholic bitters when added to cocktails just works – they add another dimension to a drink and really do enhance the social experience. This became apparent when The Dorset Foodie Family were invited to The Club House, in West Bexington, for the launch of something new to the South Coast; a place where CBD non-alcoholic bitters can be enjoyed in an array of cocktails (or mocktails), served alongside beautiful food and situated on one of the South’s best coastlines.

The Club House has recently teamed with OTO who offer premium CBD products ranging from drinks to skincare. A single measure of the OTO bitters provides 50mg of cannabidiol, better known as CBD. This is the non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant and provides relief for anxiety, stress and a number of other therapeutic avenues.

Pictured above, The Raspberry Shard was the first cbd cocktail of the evening – a fine balance of smooth and sharp with a fruit-y punch. I loved the raspberry meringue shard. Everything about this drink was fun and the perfect introduction to the night. It was served with canapé’s of cauliflower puree and pickled purple cauliflower galette.

The aptly named cocktail, Under The Sea, garnished with a blanket of hydrated seaweed was served with the main course – Pan roasted fillet of Hake, grilled artichoke and puree, Tamarisk Farm (located a few hundred meters away) Kale and Tarragon Beurre Blanc. It was exceptionally good.

Dessert was an “Old Fashioned Ice Cream Sandwich’ – Whisky sours parfait sandwich with brick pastry. Fabulous. I am not usually a fan of whiskey but the Bourbon Marmalade CBD Cocktail, changed my whisky drinking life and could quite easily become my new lifestyle. This was a soul-warming, cosy whisky drink and downright delicious. Mix-y, mix.

The Club House ticks a lot of boxes; beach location, delicious cocktails, great food and good local produce included in the menu. One of my favourite new places to eat. It even has its own helicopter landing. Such a cool, fun, and delicious event. Rad times – Cheers!
