I can’t remember when I had my first taste of Pizza with Love, mainly because there have been so many pizzas since then! Usually providing catering at weddings and events, in Rosie, their replica 1960’s Airstream, Pizza with Love have had to adapt during the current pandemic, as no weddings or events are taking place.
So, they set-up in the car park at Langside School, a special education school in Poole operated by the charity Diverse Abilities, once a week. And, this is where my obsession with their pizza really took hold.
Inside the replica Airstream is a traditional wood fired oven, which perfectly cooks the pizzas in a matter of minutes. This has meant that, with some great organisation of booking a time slot, you don’t have to wait long at all but you still get a freshly made pizza right out of the oven!
My husband is a creature of habit and orders a pepperoni pizza every time, without fail. I like to try it all and, as well as the pepperoni, have had margherita, veggie supreme, cheeseburger and even a ‘Savage Special’, consisting of chicken and hot sauce and yes, it was named after me. You know you have a lot of pizza when…
They also make their own garlic bread or cheesy garlic bread, using ciabatta, which is also incredible. A nice crunch and not soggy at all. There’s nothing worse than a soggy bottom – am I right?
I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed with any of the pizzas from Pizza with Love and the fact that Rachael and Lisa, who run the company, are lovely people, makes it really worth while supporting and if I have to have a pizza almost every week, I’m sure I’ll cope!
Once things return to normal and weddings and events are taking place again, I’d really recommend looking at Pizza with Love. All of the pizza is made and cooked onsite and laid out buffet style and they just keep it coming – perfect for those festival and marquee events or just for something a little different!
Sam paid for all the pizzas herself and pictures were taken by and used with permission from Pizza with Love.
