Review of GinJams in Westbourne

New year, new you. That’s how it works, right?

For a lot of people, the end of a year is always synonymous with over-spending, over-eating and on most counts, over-drinking too.

So January arrives and with it comes fresh excitement to adopt a new mindset and the conquer the world as you go. And so, we kick the booze and decide to raise some money for charity in the process.

To those trying a healthy stint for a good cause, be it Dry January or Veganuary, I say good luck. To the rest of you, I have an exciting new find to tell you about!

Review of GinJams in Westbourne

Ginjams in Westbourne opened in October last year, a “dream that has become a reality” for co-founders Chris Myland and Thomas James.

This cosy but cool bar and restaurant offers a selection of 16 gins from Dorset and neighbouring areas, and 50 more from around the globe! They also have a coffee machine, food menu, a vibrant selection of wines and an exciting cocktail menu (for which I promise to return in order to sample).

I hadn’t heard about the bar before, but we happened to spot it whilst driving around the Wetbourne loop. We popped in for an after-dinner G&T on Friday night for a friend’s birthday and we weren’t disappointed.

Each gins is accompanied by recommendations of fresh fruit and herb matchings and the sound of clinking of ice whirling around balloon glasses will fill you with delight.

It’s a lovely new home for gin-lovers to rejoice in. With plenty of different daily food and drink offers, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

I would highly recommend a visit next time you’re in Westbourne and I can’t wait to return with more of my friends!

Congratulations to founding duo.
