Review of Feed the Soul in Godmanstone

Nestled in the beautiful Cerne Valley, Feed the Soul (speciality health food & cafe) run by Alexandra Beer, has been serving some beautiful fresh and vibrant food for the past six months. All the food in the cafe & shop is organic, plant based; a place especially for those enjoying their vegan lifestyle.

The cafe & shop is situated next to the campsite, just south of Godmanstone off the A352. You can stop for a coffee and one of their natural sugar cakes or a leisurely lunch enjoying their beautiful plant-based organic seasonal products.

Alexandra specializes in raw food/salads, but always has a hot option available for our fluctuating Dorset weather. Todays was a fragrant and well balance sweet potato & butternut squash soup, served with sourdough bread.

For the raw vegan salads, there are three sizes of bowls for you to choose; the Soul Bowl for £5, the Buddha Bowl for £7.50 or the Whole Works for £10. I went for the Buddha Bowl and my son chose the Whole Works, both were served with onion flatbreads, activated seeds and homemade Kimchi.

The bowls where filled with fresh salad leaves, cauliflower rice, carrot & vegan cheese, beetroot & humous and sauerkraut. I really enjoyed my bowl of zesty, wholesome and fresh ingredients; the onion flatbreads were delicious.

The shop is stuffed full of vegan goodies, plus homemade Activated Almond Butter, Activated Cacao Almond Butter and their own Peanut Butter (all available online). Their fresh fruit & veg is worth the trip alone. I really should of have bought a bag of their chard..!

Feed the Soul is a the place to head to if you are vegan, vegetarian or just someone who loves great fresh wholesome food.
