Review of Grounded Coffee in Poole.
Grounded Coffee began in 2014 with the renovation of their first Land Rover into a mobile coffee truck. A familiar sight at many of Dorset’s infamous food festivals, Grounded Coffee became so popular that they now have a mini fleet of 6 trucks including 2 land rovers, 1 horse box, 1 mini 3 wheeler van and 2 retro ice cream vans. Each vehicle has been lovingly restored and you can see the restoration process on their website.
Grounded Coffee attend hundreds of festivals and events every year and their vehicles can be hired for all kinds of events – corporate, weddings, film shoots, sport tournaments, festivals etc.
In 2019, they began roasting their own coffee, taking and restoring a vintage coffee roaster and producing some unique coffee blends that they now use in their own coffee trucks as well as delivering to other cafes and shops. You can also buy their coffee direct from their online shop. I bought some in the first lockdown and it was delicious!
Recently, they have taken their coffee adventure further and opened their first cafe in the Kingland Crescent development in Poole. I visited today and even though we had to sit outside (due to the covid restrictions at the time), we were warmly welcomed and our coffees were very tasty …and warming in the cold, spring wind! 🙂 It was also fab to see the roaster going at the back of the shop and the smell was incredible!
I recommend Grounded Coffee if you are looking for someone to provide coffee at your event – their trucks are beautiful, their team friendly and the coffee is delicious. I also recommend their new cafe space if you find yourself in Poole and looking for a lovely independent to buy your coffee from (they also do some delicious cakes!)
