- Multi-award-winning restaurateur Andy Lennox is bringing his Nusara Thai brand to Wimborne. He’s signed a 15-year lease on a two-storey building in Crown Court, just off The Square. Twenty-five new jobs, a mixture of full and part-time roles, will be created with the opening of Nusara Wimborne in August. It joins ‘sister’ Nusara restaurants in Christchurch and Poole. https://www.dorsetbiznews.co.uk/exclusive-multi-award-winning-restaurateur-to-bring-his-nusara-thai-brand-to-wimborne/
- It’s Dorset through and through, inspired by a feature of local life for over 700 years and even using Dorset dialect in the name of its first product. Shroton Fair Gin is the county’s newest gin distillery. Despite being less than 100 days old, it already has two awards to its name. Zummit Dry – Zummit is old Dorset dialect for ‘somewhat’ – picked up a gold in this year’s Taste of the West awards. And at the 2022 London Spirits Competition, the same gin was awarded a bronze. For founder and creator Wilfrid Shon it’s nothing short of a dream start for his fledging business. https://www.dorsetbiznews.co.uk/spirit-of-dorset-historic-fair-proves-inspiration-for-gin-distillerys-branding-and-unique-recipe/
- An award-winning Dorset wine estate, which is expanding production by 200 per cent to meet demand, has held a ceremony to mark the planting out of 45 acres of new vines. Langham Wine Estate is to increase its vineyards from 30 acres to 85 acres in a project costing more than £500,000. The expansion will increase annual production from 50,000 to 150,000 bottles. https://www.dorsetbiznews.co.uk/raise-your-glass-award-winning-wine-estate-celebrates-planting-of-45-acres-of-new-vines/
